Acer Laptop Thermal Repaste — your questions answered
How much does an Acer laptop thermal repaste cost?
Aspire and Nitro models are $180 while Predator units with vapor chambers range from $220 to $280. ConceptD workstations start at $280. All prices include full thermal stack cleaning, new PTM7950 paste and fan re-grease.
How often should I repaste my Acer laptop?
Most Acer laptops benefit from repasting every 24-36 months. Predator Helios and Triton models under heavy gaming loads are best serviced at 18-24 months to maintain safe temperatures and fan longevity.
Can you use liquid metal instead of normal paste on my Acer?
We do not recommend liquid metal on Acer chassis designs. The lack of a foil dam and close proximity of SMD components create short-circuit risk. PTM7950 phase-change material is the correct, safe upgrade.
Will repasting void my Acer warranty?
Opening the chassis for thermal work typically voids remaining manufacturer warranty on the cooling system. Our 90-day parts and labour warranty covers the repaste service itself.
Do you offer onsite thermal repaste for Acer laptops?
Yes, we provide onsite visits for software-level diagnostics and can arrange insured courier collection for workshop repaste work across Australian capital cities and selected regional areas.
