Will any USB-C PD charger work on my Spectre?
Spectre models with 11th-gen and newer CPUs need at least 65W USB-C PD for full-speed charging. Lower-wattage chargers will only trickle charge the battery and may trigger warnings in Windows.
Why does my Omen 330W brick get hot even when the laptop is idle?
A small amount of heat is normal due to the active PFC circuit, but excessive warmth at idle usually points to failing capacitors or dried thermal paste inside the brick. We bench-test before deciding on repair or replacement.
How long does a genuine HP replacement charger last?
Genuine HP bricks are rated for roughly 3-5 years of daily use. After that the internal capacitors and MOSFETs degrade, leading to the common heat or recognition faults we see on Pavilion and Omen units.
