How often should I repaste my Omen gaming laptop?
For Omen 16 or 17 models with RTX 4080 or higher, PTM7950 repaste at 18-24 months prevents sustained throttling under gaming loads. Earlier service is only needed if dust has built up or you notice temperature spikes above 95 °C.
Will repasting void my HP warranty?
Opening the chassis for cleaning or repasting typically voids remaining manufacturer warranty on HP consumer laptops. Our 90-day warranty covers the work we perform, but any existing HP cover will likely be affected.
Can you do the thermal service onsite at my home?

What is the difference between PTM7950 and standard paste?
PTM7950 is a phase-change thermal pad that maintains performance for years without pump-out. Standard paste dries and cracks faster under the high sustained loads seen in Omen and ZBook chassis.
My Spectre x360 is only 14 months old — should I repaste now?
Core Ultra models run warmer than prior generations. If you see package power limits or fan noise during normal productivity work at 14 months, a repaste is worthwhile; otherwise wait until 18-24 months.
