How to log in to your Optus modem
- Connect a device to the modem (Wi-Fi or cable).
- Open a browser and go to http://192.168.0.1.
- Enter the admin login from the table below (or the sticker on your modem).
Default login for Optus modems
| Modem | Admin URL | Default credentials |
|---|---|---|
| Ultra WiFi (Gen 2) / newer Sagemcom | 192.168.0.1 | Username optus (lowercase), password = Wi-Fi password on the label |
| Older Sagemcom F@st (e.g. 3864) | 192.168.0.1 | Username admin, password admin (or on the label) |
The exact login is printed on the sticker on the base/back of your modem – always check there first, as it varies by model and may have been changed.
Forgot the password? Reset it
Press and hold the reset button for about 15 seconds until the modem restarts. This restores factory defaults (the credentials on the label) but wipes any custom Wi-Fi name/password and settings.
Changing your Wi-Fi name & password
Once logged in, open the Wi-Fi / Wireless settings (or use the My Optus app) to change the network name and password. Use a strong password on both bands. We can do this remotely and secure the modem for you.
