Common Issues & How We Fix Them
OLED burn-in
Most Zenbook S and Duo models ship with OLED panels. Burn-in from persistent UI (taskbar, browser) after 18-24 months. Panel replacement: $900-$1,400 fitted.
Battery swell (thin chassis)
Thin Zenbook chassis runs cell warm. Replacement: $420-$580 fitted.
Zenbook Duo secondary screen issues
The 14″ Duo has TWO 14″ OLED panels. Secondary screen issues: cable, controller, or panel itself. $480-$880 service.
USB-C / Thunderbolt port wear
Most Zenbook uses USB-C PD exclusively. Port flex replacement: $320-$420.
Zenbook Flip 360° hinge wear
Convertible hinge works harder. Re-tension: $220-$280. Full cluster: $480.
Thermal throttling (S 13 OLED specifically)
S 13 OLED is the thinnest Zenbook ever — thermals are at the limit. PTM7950 re-paste: $280.
Keyboard backlight failure
Driver-state issue most often. Free remote fix; hardware replacement if needed.
Numpad-in-trackpad (Duo, UX-series)
NumberPad 2.0 feature — virtual numpad in the trackpad. Trackpad replacement preserves feature; if separately affected, software fix.
