How to log in to your Aussie Broadband modem
- Connect a device to the modem by Wi-Fi or cable.
- Open a browser and go to http://192.168.1.1.
- Log in with username admin and the password from your welcome pack.
| Modem | Admin URL | Default credentials |
|---|---|---|
| Aussie Broadband Zyxel | 192.168.1.1 | Username admin, password from the welcome pack (some units default to 1234) |
| BYO modem on Aussie Broadband | Varies (often 192.168.1.1) | See the modem’s sticker; connection uses your Aussie PPPoE details |
Forgot the password? Reset it
Hold the reset button for about 10-15 seconds until the modem restarts. This restores factory defaults but clears your PPPoE connection details, so the internet won’t return until they’re re-entered (we can do this for you).
Changing your Wi-Fi name & password
Once logged in, open the Wireless / Wi-Fi settings to change your network name and password on both bands. Use a strong password. We can do this remotely and re-secure the modem.

What is the IP address for an Aussie Broadband modem?
Usually 192.168.1.1 – type http://192.168.1.1 into your browser while connected to the modem.
Where is my Aussie Broadband modem password?
In your welcome pack / ‘Accessing your modem’ email. If you can’t find it, Aussie Broadband support can supply it, or we can reset and reconfigure the modem.
