What you’ll do on each job
- Hardware and software repairs for PCs, laptops and Macs
- Wireless and wired network setup and troubleshooting
- Virus and spyware prevention and removal
- Device setup — from smart TVs to tablets and mobile phones
- Data backup and recovery solutions
- Courtesy calls to clients when you’re on the way
- General technology support at customers’ homes and offices
What you’ll need
- Solid all-round computer repair skills — you can install Windows or macOS in your sleep
- Your own reliable vehicle and a current driver’s licence
- Your own basic tools and a smartphone
- Great communication and a genuine love of helping people
- An ABN (or willingness to get one) — this is an independent contractor role
- Professional presentation and reliability
