Why does my XPS trackpad click feel mushy?
Battery swelling underneath is the most common cause on XPS 13 and 15 models. We remove the bottom cover, check for battery deformation and replace the battery first, which usually restores normal click travel.
Can the XPS 13 Plus haptic trackpad be replaced with a regular one?
No, the haptic motor and sensors are integrated into the palmrest deck on 9320/9330 models. A standard click trackpad will not fit mechanically or electrically.
