iMac M3 / M4 Repair — All-in-One Apple Silicon Specialist
Last Updated:
The 24-inch iMac with M3 (2023) and M4 (2024) is Apple’s current all-in-one desktop — 4.5K Liquid Retina display, M3 or M4 SoC, 8GB or 16GB unified memory minimum, magnetically-attached MagSafe power, optional Touch ID Magic Keyboard. Available in seven anodized aluminium colours. AIO design means screen + computer + speakers are integrated; repair involves working on the whole unit.
iMac M3 / M4 service notes: the unibody chassis requires careful disassembly — the 4.5K panel is bonded to the chassis and must be removed before logic-board work. Power supply is internal (no power brick). Most failures we see: USB-C / Thunderbolt port wear from dock cycling, panel issues (yellowing or dead pixels after 24+ months), and PSU faults on early M3 units.
