Battery (mostly bonded)
Most L-series generations have bonded batteries (vs older T-series user-replaceable). $380-$520 fitted.
Keyboard deck wear
Same ThinkPad keyboard as higher tiers. Deck replacement: $280-$380 fitted.
Plastic chassis hinge wear
L-series uses more plastic than T-series. Hinge mounting posts in plastic can crack at 4-5 years. Re-bond + reinforce: $280.
L Yoga 360° hinge
Convertible variant wears faster. Re-tension $220-$280.
USB-C wear
$280-$380 fitted.
Screen replacement (budget IPS)
