Dead or intermittent keys (membrane)
Full deck replacement at $280-$420 fitted.
X170 Cherry MX switch swap
X170 had genuine Cherry MX Brown switches. Individual switch desolder / resolder: $40-$60 per switch.
RGB backlight failure
Software-state via Control Centre (often free); LED controller flex hardware replacement if needed.
Spill damage
Caught within 24 hours: ultrasonic clean often saves it. After 72 hours: replacement.
Keyboard not detected on boot
Internal ribbon reseating — free if just reseating; replacement if torn.
