Drive won’t mount, clicking or not detected

A clicking, buzzing or undetected drive is a hardware failure — continued power-ups make it worse. We stop, image the drive in a controlled environment and recover what is on it.

SSD or NVMe failure

Solid-state drives fail suddenly and without the warning signs of a spinning disk. We use specialist tools to read failed SSDs and recover documents, photos and work files.

Liquid damage or won’t power on

If the Toshiba laptop will not boot, the data is usually still intact on the drive. We remove and image the storage directly so a dead machine does not mean lost files.

Accidentally deleted or formatted files

Deleted, formatted or ‘disappeared’ files are often still recoverable if the drive has not been heavily used since. Stop using it and bring it in — we will assess what can be retrieved.

Encrypted or BitLocker / FileVault drive

Encrypted drives complicate recovery but are not a dead end with the correct keys or credentials. We recover data from encrypted volumes where the recovery key or password is available.

Won’t boot after an update or crash

A machine that no longer boots frequently has a perfectly healthy drive underneath. We recover your data first, then advise on repair or replacement.
