Forgot the password? Reset it

Hold the reset button for about 10-15 seconds until the modem restarts. This restores factory defaults (the sticker password) but clears any custom Wi-Fi name/password and your broadband settings, which then need re-entering.

Changing your Wi-Fi name & password

Once logged in, open Wireless / Wi-Fi settings to change the network name and password on both bands. Use a strong password. We can do this remotely and re-secure the modem for you.

Frequently asked questions

What is the default login for an iiNet modem?

Browse to 192.168.1.1 and use username admin with the password on the modem’s back sticker (each TG-789/BudiiLite has a unique password).

What is the IP address for an iiNet modem?

192.168.1.1 – type http://192.168.1.1 into your browser while connected to the modem.

I forgot my iiNet modem password – what do I do?

Hold the reset button for 10-15 seconds to factory-reset it, then use the sticker password. Note this clears custom Wi-Fi and broadband settings, which we can re-enter for you.

How do I change my iiNet Wi-Fi password?

Log in at 192.168.1.1, open the Wireless settings, and set a new password on both bands. We can do this for you remotely.

Yes – we can recover or safely reset admin access, reconfigure your connection, and lock the modem down with a strong password.
