The ThinkPad X1 Extreme is Lenovo’s 15.6″ workstation-class flagship — Intel Core i7/i9 + RTX 30/40-series mobile GPU, OLED option, premium chassis. Discontinued after Gen 5 (2023) — Lenovo migrated this segment to the ThinkPad P-series. Plenty of X1 Extreme units still in active service. We repair every generation.

Workstation users with persistent UI see burn-in faster. Panel replacement: $1,200-$1,500 fitted.

GPU BGA reflow / reball
Heavy creator workloads stress the GPU package. Reflow $380-$520, reball $550-$750.
