Common Issues & How We Fix Them
Side drop cracked screen
Most common cause — Laptop clamshell with screen open, table edge or drop. Glass and LCD both damaged.
Top-lid impact
Backpack pressure or another item dropped on the closed lid. Often LCD damage with intact glass — display has internal lines or solid colour patches.
Liquid damage to screen
Splash that reached the LCD layer. Usually shows as marbling, bright spots, or backlight pattern visible. Assembly replacement.
Display dead but device works
If the external HDMI-out works fine, the internal display assembly or its cable is at fault. Diagnostic to confirm cable vs assembly.
