The Surface Pro 11 (2024) is Microsoft’s first true Copilot+ PC — Snapdragon X Plus or X Elite ARM SoC, integrated NPU for on-device AI, and an OLED display option on the top SKUs. As a brand-new device the Pro 11 is largely under warranty, but we’re already seeing edge-case repair work — accidental damage, drops, and a small batch of OLED panels with a manufacturing defect that Microsoft is replacing under warranty.
Out-of-warranty repair for accidental damage is where we come in. Workshop, 3-7 business days while we source parts (Pro 11 service parts are special-order at this stage of the product lifecycle).

Cracked OLED display (top-spec)
OLED assembly replacement on the Pro 11 is expensive — $1,000-$1,150 fitted, 5-7 business days for the part.
Cracked LCD display (entry/mid)
LCD assembly: $950-$1,050 fitted, 3-5 business days for the part.
USB-C / Thunderbolt 4 port wear
Pro 11 has two USB-C / Thunderbolt 4 ports. Replacement available.
Snapdragon X driver issues
The Snapdragon X is new — Windows-on-ARM drivers, app compatibility quirks and the occasional firmware update bug. We have the Qualcomm Snapdragon firmware tools and the experience.
Copilot+ NPU not detected
Rare — the NPU is an integrated part of the SoC. If Windows reports the Copilot+ NPU as missing, it’s almost always a driver state we can recover from.
Battery (new device, low incidence)
Pro 11 batteries are well within service life. We’d only expect to see drop-and-pierce damage at this stage.

How we fix it: Technician removes the damaged OLED assembly using suction and plastic pry tools, transfers the original bezel and camera assembly, then fits a genuine Microsoft OLED replacement and recalibrates colour profiles.

Symptom: Shattered or pressure-marked LCD on entry and mid-spec models, backlight still functional but image distorted

Symptom: Loose connection, intermittent charging or data transfer on one or both ports after repeated cable insertions
How we fix it: Desolder the damaged USB-C receptacle from the mainboard, install a new OEM-grade receptacle and reflow under controlled heat to restore full 40 Gbps and PD functionality.

Symptom: Apps fail to launch, NPU features greyed out, or repeated Qualcomm firmware update errors after Windows updates
How we fix it: Run the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon firmware package through the Microsoft Surface Diagnostic Toolkit, clear driver store and reinstall the ARM64 driver set.

Battery swelling on OLED models
Symptom: Screen lifting at the corners and chassis flex after 12–18 months of daily use
How we fix it: Power down, remove the back cover and adhesive strips, extract the swollen 40 Wh battery, clean residue and install a new Microsoft-grade cell with fresh adhesive.

How long does a Surface Pro 11 screen repair take?
OLED panel replacements require 5-7 business days because the part is special-order; LCD models are usually completed in 3-5 business days once the assembly arrives.
Is the Surface Pro 11 still under warranty for accidental damage?
Microsoft’s standard warranty covers manufacturing defects only. Accidental damage such as cracked screens or liquid spills is excluded, so out-of-warranty repair is required.
Can you fix driver or Copilot+ NPU issues on the Snapdragon X models?
Yes. We run the official Qualcomm firmware tools and clean driver installations that restore full NPU detection and app compatibility without replacing any hardware.
What happens if the USB-C ports stop working on my Surface Pro 11?
Each port can be replaced individually by desoldering the receptacle on the mainboard. We test both 40 Gbps data and 65 W charging before returning the device.
