Frequently asked questions
How do I set up NBN Fixed Wireless?
Check the indoor NBN box is powered with signal lights on, connect your router’s WAN port to the UNI-D port, power on, enter ISP details if prompted, and wait for the internet light to go solid.
Do I need a modem for NBN Fixed Wireless?
No – Fixed Wireless uses a router (not a DSL modem). The router connects to the indoor NBN connection box from the roof antenna.
Why is my Fixed Wireless slow at night?
Fixed Wireless shares tower capacity, so speeds can dip at busy times. Persistent slowness can also be a signal or antenna alignment issue we can check.
My Fixed Wireless has no internet – how do I fix it?
Check the indoor box is powered with signal lights on and the router is on the UNI-D port with the right ISP details. We can diagnose signal/antenna or settings issues.
Does weather affect NBN Fixed Wireless?
Heavy weather can affect the wireless signal. Frequent weather-related dropouts may mean an antenna or signal issue worth investigating.
Can you set up my Fixed Wireless connection?
Yes – we connect and configure your router, enter ISP details, set up Wi-Fi and check signal/performance, onsite or remotely.
