The Razer Blade 15 Base is the mainstream Blade — single M.2 NVMe slot (vs Advanced’s dual), 4-zone RGB keyboard (vs Advanced’s per-key Chroma), 144Hz / 165Hz IPS panel (vs Advanced’s 240Hz / 360Hz / OLED). Same beautiful CNC aluminium chassis, same vapor-chamber cooling, but a cleaner board layout that makes it cheaper to service.

Most-common Base 15 service jobs: NVMe SSD swap or upgrade (single slot makes it easy), 4-zone keyboard repair (Chroma deck assembly), and standard battery replacement. Liquid metal is not used on Base SKUs — they ship with PTM7950 phase-change paste.

Can I add a second SSD?

No — the Base only has one M.2 slot. Upgrade in place, or move to NVMe SSD with a high-capacity drive.

4-zone Chroma keyboard repair?

The Base’s 4-zone keyboard is a different unit to the Advanced’s per-key. We service the deck as a unit — typically $380-$480 fitted. Synapse + Chroma config preserved.

RTX 3070 Mobile on Blade 15 Base — replaceable?

BGA-soldered, same as Advanced. Reflow possible; swap not. See GPU page.

How does the Base 15 cool — same vapor chamber?

Yes, same vapor chamber design. The cooling capacity is sized for the lower-TDP GPU SKUs, which is why the top-spec on the Base caps at RTX 3070 Ti vs the Advanced’s RTX 3080 Ti.
