The Original PC Doctor is looking for remote printer support technicians to help customers across Australia get printing again — all from home, over the phone and through remote sessions. If you can untangle a driver mess, get a Wi-Fi printer talking to a laptop, and stay patient when the customer is at their wits’ end, this role is for you.

About the role

Printers cause more frustration than almost any other device — and you’ll be the person who calmly fixes it. Over the phone and via secure remote sessions, you’ll diagnose and resolve printing problems across Windows and Mac: driver installs and conflicts, offline printers, Wi-Fi and network-printing setup, spooler errors, scanning and all-in-one issues, and connection drop-outs. When a genuine hardware fault is involved, you’ll point the customer in the right direction or coordinate with our field team.

A typical day might include

Taking customer calls and support requests with a calm, helpful manner
Diagnosing ‘printer offline’, driver and connection problems on Windows and Mac
Installing and repairing print drivers and clearing stuck print spoolers
Setting up Wi-Fi, USB and network printers, and all-in-one scan-to-email/scan-to-folder
Troubleshooting major brands (HP, Canon, Epson, Brother) across home and small-office setups
Logging jobs accurately in our web-based platform and following up so the customer is genuinely sorted

What you’ll need

Strong hands-on knowledge of printer setup and troubleshooting on Windows and macOS
Familiarity with print drivers, spoolers, and Wi-Fi/network printing
Confidence driving remote-access tools to fix issues live
Excellent phone manner and clear written communication
Patience and real empathy — printers test everyone’s nerves
A reliable home internet connection and a quiet space to take calls
Previous IT support, helpdesk or print/MFD experience is a plus (attitude matters most)
