About the role

You’ll be the friendly remote expert customers reach when their Windows PC or laptop misbehaves. Working over the phone and through secure remote-access sessions, you’ll diagnose and fix issues on Windows 10 and 11 — from slow startups and update failures to driver conflicts, profile corruption and malware clean-ups. When a problem genuinely needs hands-on hardware work, you’ll coordinate a visit with our field technicians. It’s real, varied troubleshooting — not a script-reading call centre.

A typical day might include

Taking customer calls and remote support requests with a calm, helpful manner
Running secure remote-desktop sessions to diagnose and fix Windows issues live
Resolving slow performance, boot problems, Windows Update failures and driver conflicts
Removing malware, cleaning up startup bloat and tuning Windows for speed
Setting up email, printers, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 and everyday apps
Logging jobs accurately in our web-based platform and following up so the customer is genuinely sorted

What you’ll need

Strong hands-on Windows 10 / 11 troubleshooting knowledge
Confidence driving remote-access tools (TeamViewer, AnyDesk, Quick Assist or similar)
Solid grasp of Windows Update, drivers, user profiles, the registry and common apps
Excellent phone manner and clear written communication
Patience and real empathy — many of our customers aren’t tech-savvy
A reliable home internet connection and a quiet space to take calls
Previous desktop support, helpdesk or PC repair experience is a plus (attitude matters most)
