Microsoft charges a flat-rate out-of-warranty fee per device, often $800-$2,000+ depending on model. Our pricing is per-fault — a $400 battery is $400, not part of a $1,200 flat-rate replacement. For single-fault repairs we’re typically 30-60% cheaper.

Same-day in workshop for in-stock parts (screen Pro 4-9, battery most generations). 1-3 days for stocked but lower-volume parts. 3-7 days for special-order items (newest generations like Pro 11, Laptop 7). We tell you the turnaround at quote time.

Yes — 90-day warranty on parts and labour for every repair. If the same fault recurs within 90 days, we re-do the work at no cost.

Yes — data preservation is a default. We image storage as a safety net before any board-level work. For repairs that don’t open the chassis (software, peripheral), data isn’t touched.

Yes — we have the Qualcomm Snapdragon firmware tools and the experience to service ARM-based Windows-on-ARM Surfaces. Most Pro 11 / Laptop 7 work is parts-wait limited (3-7 days for special-order assemblies); the actual repair workflow is unchanged.

If it’s a warranty defect (manufacturing fault), go to Microsoft — that’s free. If it’s accidental damage (drop, spill, kid-with-pen), that’s not covered by warranty regardless of who fixes it — and we’re almost always cheaper than Microsoft’s out-of-warranty service.

No — we’re a service business, not a parts wholesaler. But we accept courier-in repair work from any Australian postcode.
